The establishment of Dhawalagiri Multiple Campus (DMC) represents the collective aspirations of the Dhawalagiri community. Situated in the heart of Baglung Municipality, at the intersection of the Kaligandaki Corridor and Mid-Hilly Highways, the campus's strategic location enhances accessibility to higher education.
In its early stages, DMC operated evening classes in the school building of Vidyamandir High School, a well-known institution in Baglung Bazaar and a current feeder school. Presently, DMC owns approximately 88 ropanies of land and has developed a range of facilities to support academic, administrative, and residential needs.

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) program was launched in 2035 BS and has been a 4-year program since 2076 BS. Admission Policy in Bachelor Level
DMC offers a range of Bachelor programs across its Faculties and Institute. Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FoHSS), Faculty of Education (FoE), Faculty of Management (FoM), Institute of Science and Technology (IoST).
These programs are generally conducted on an annual system over four years, with the exception of the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), and Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) which operate under a semester system.
Admission to these programs requires the successful completion of an entrance examination. Candidates who have completed their secondary education (10+2) in any stream are eligible to apply for Bachelor programs such as BA, BEd, BBS, BBA, and BCA. However, candidates who have completed their secondary education in the science stream are specifically eligible to apply for Bachelor of Science (BSc) programs.
Admission Policy in Master Level
DMC offers master’s level programs under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FoHSS), Faculty of Education (FoE), and Faculty of Management (FoM) on a semester system basis.
Admission to these programs requires the successful completion of an entrance examination. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline are eligible to apply for Master of Arts (MA) and Master of Business Studies (MBS) programs. However, candidates seeking admission to the Master of Education (M.Ed.) program are generally required to have a bachelor’s degree in a related (Bachelor in Education) discipline.

Teaching/Learning Practices
At DMC, we adopt the participatory method of teaching and learning which demands rigorous participation from both the students and teachers. A careful blend of the traditional classroom teaching with more contemporary techniques of learning is the key to increase overall learning efficiency. DMC has a team of dedicated faculty members with diverse academic backgrounds to deal with academic issues. They enable to simplify and generalize the complex matter with the help of proven pedagogical approaches.
The Major methods of learning process at DMC
Interaction and feedback
Inquisitiveness is highly appreciated at DMC. Students are encouraged to interact with the teachers even in the leisure period and on holidays. According to the subject, group discussions among students are organized frequently so that diverse ideas are shared. This makes the whole process of learning fun, stimulating and meaningful. Students' learning achievement in internal exams and board exams is thoroughly analyzed and the provision of feedback for the needy students has been maintained.
Project Work and Presentation
Students are assigned with projects relevant to the course requirement. Project works are always highly demanding as students need to demonstrate their ability to experiment, manage time and practice presentation skills.
Field Trips and Excursions:
As we all know, students need to experience the application of their knowledge in the real world and also get some time off from the monotony of classroom learning. Therefore, we at DMC, frequently organize field trips to enhance practical learning.
Provision of Non-Credit Course Class and Remedial Classes:
DMC has started non-credit course classes and remedial classes. Non-credit course classes are targeted to enhancing the practical and job-oriented skills. Such course will benefit the students interested to learn the skills relevant to locally and nationally available job opportunities and do job while pursuing their study. Similarly, remedial classes will benefit the students whose learning is below average level and need additional couching class and feedback from their teachers.
Support Services
Scholarship and Free Ship
Five distinct scholarship funds have been established by local donors and educationists to support needy and deserving students at DMC. A new scholarship fund, with a goal of at least one crore rupees, is currently in progress to provide additional financial assistance. So far, nearly the entire target amount has been raised through the Deusi Bhailo Campaign, and fundraising efforts are going on.
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of students' academic performance and economic need, while full financial aid is offered to those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Additionally, a 20% free ship is available for students in regular programs at TU, and a 10% freeship is provided for those in internally funded programs.
Science lab, Computer Lab, Cultural Lab, Multimedia and Internet
DMC is well-equipped with modern laboratory and computer technology. It features separate science, computer, and cultural labs. The newly established cultural lab is dedicated to nurturing students' cultural talents and promoting indigenous dance and musical traditions. Multimedia facilities are available in classrooms, with nearly all classrooms equipped with PowerPoint projectors. A 24-hour internet facility is provided for students and faculty, and audio-visual aids and other teaching tools are utilized as needed to enhance the learning experience.
Hostel
Hostel facility is provided to the students who hail from remote area and who are from financially weak family background. The accommodation capacity of the hostel has recently been increased. Almost 100 students (25 boys and 75 girls) are provided with hostel facilities.
Canteen
The college canteen serves healthy and hygienic food at reasonable price throughout the day.
Library
DMC features a well-equipped and fully automated library. Its extensive textbook collection meets the needs of a growing students, while the reference section is robust, offering a wide range of books in social sciences, management, education, and science. The library is further enriched by a selection of journals, study reports, and other reference materials. Additionally, DMC provides e-learning resources to all students and faculty through its connection with the e-resource network of Tribhuvan University Central Library (TUCL).
Extra-Curricular and Extension Activities
DMC has implemented an effective approach for managing Extra-Curricular and Extension activities through the formation of an Extra-Curricular and Extension Committee. This committee is assigned with organizing a range of sports and other activities throughout the academic year. Each event aims to foster students' talents, enhance team spirit, and build lasting connections. The committee schedules these events according to the academic and operational calendar, which strengthens the relationship between students and the community while highlighting the remarkable talents of DMC’s students. Additionally, the committee both organizes events and represents DMC at events hosted by other institutions.
Sports Facility
DMC maintains a spacious playground with a variety of sports facilities. The expansive grounds and tranquil environment inspire sportsmanship among students, aiding in the development of their athletic skills. The institution organizes a range of games, including Table Tennis, Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Chess, Football, and Cricket.
Involvement of the students in Quality Promotion
DMC has practiced a measure to effectively involve the students in the promotion of overall quality of the campus. Free Student Union (FSU), the representative of the students, is at place. The representative of FSU has been involved in all the policy making and monitoring bodies of the campus. Student Quality Circle (SQC) has been formed in all the classes/section in Bachelor level. SQC is assigned with reporting classroom tutorial as well as feedback activities performed by the teachers. The SQC diary provided to each and every SQC must reflect the detail of how punctually and effectively the tutorial activities are shared and performed.
